I'm running R5E50 on a BE and diskless FE created by the included script. for some odd reason i can't get LIRC to run correctly on the diskless FE. i'm using an MCE remote that works great on the backend. everything does what it should.

i went through the same process (copied all the config files over and ran the lirc script) in the FE, but LIRC behaves strangely. first of all, it won't recognize the remote. weirdest of all, irw does nothing. if i run it it just skips back to the prompt. if i try to run it again, it tells me "Connect : connection refused." i know the usb receiver is hooked up because it shows up on a lsusb.

so, what gives? any ideas? thanks!!!

Is the usb device being allocated a different device number on your FE compared to your BE?
