Post subject:  restoring a deleted file in KM R5E50: problem

hi,

have following problem here:
recorded a tv program with KM R5E50
it was selectable in 'watch recordings' and present in the /myth/tv directory as a .mpg and .mpg.png file.

i wanted to edit the file (cutting off the first piece). (M-key when showing the recording)
after inserting the cut-point, i did something wrong and the program disappeared from the recordings list..
i cannot get it back.
they are absent in /myth/tv now..

but i found it (both files *.mpg and *.mpg.png) present in the /myth/image_cache directory...
i copied them back to /myth/tv.

but they keep on NOT showing up in the recorded programs listing, a reboot of KM makes no difference...

can i get them back to see them and to edit them again??

thank you
rob

myth.rebuilddatabase.pl will recover shows. After each show, check the "Watch Recordings" screen. I think when prompted for "title" you need to replace the default value with just the show name.

## after some fiddling as you advised, i seem to have the file back in the 'Watch Recordings' screen...

new problem now: when i let it play fullscreen on the KM machine, and press <M> and choose 'edit recording' the graphical 'inset' below the screen appears (timeline), but there is a text next to this: 'no seektable' and after a 2 seconds the graphical inset disappears again..
the film keeps playing though..
it seems i can no longer edit this recording..

when a test and choose a previous recording, the normal timeline situation comes up, with the adaptable time-setting for the 'fast forward' in editing..

is there a trick to be able to edit the file??

thanks,
rob
