Is there a way to convert my nuv files to xvid without using NuvExport? I need to do the conversion on another machine or two, because of how long it takes (approx 16 hours per hour of analog cable at best compression).

I tried running Nuvexport -transcode -debug to get the mythtranscode and transcode forking texts to run in seperate windows (I'm guessing that this should work). I replaced the -s and -c with -i and my filename. I end up with an avi file with good audio but psychedelic colors in place of video. I tried both two pass and one pass output from Nuvexport.

Should this work or is there another way?

Assuming you are using KnoppMyth, there is a script to convert to xvid (Myth2Xvid based on Myth2Ipod). This came alone in F1. If you upgrade prior, you'll have to add it.
