I've setup my mythtv box to record and automatically transcode all the videos to .avi. I was able to download the .avis from the mythbox on to my laptop but when I went to play them there was no audio. Trouble shooting is a little difficult because I don't have speakers or monitor hooked up to it so I remotely access it from my laptop. (I'm at college and all my roommates have laptops too so no access to a monitor). Here's the output from my lspci: Code: lspci

When I got the card I was given a cable to hook the audio output from the capture card to my default audio input so that's how the setup stands now. |

Do non-transcoded videos play with audio? Is the soundcard's mixer set so that the input you're using to record isn't muted? |
