Post subject: | no sound using mplayer-vdpau-nogui package |
I opened a this task on flyspray, but wanted to post my issue here as well since not everyone reads flyspray. I'm using the mplayer-vdpau-nogui package, I have no sound when playing video files using the vdpau options in mplayer, or the standard -vo xv driver. If I use the R6 included mplayer to view a file, the sound is there. I will gladly post any log files/additional hardware details, etc upon request (I’m just not sure what to post at this point). Hardware: Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mainboard using the onboard sound which ALSA has correctly identified and configured. |

Is this the version you have? Code: [mythtv@mythbox-rfe-2 ~]$ sudo pacman -Qi mplayer-vdpau-nogui Name : mplayer-vdpau-nogui Version : 28348-3 URL : http://www.mplayerhq.hu/ Licenses : GPL Groups : None Provides : mplayer Depends On : ttf-dejavu nvidia-beta Optional Deps : None Required By : mythvideo Conflicts With : mplayer Replaces : None Installed Size : 18832.00 K Packager : LinHESDev@knoppmyth.net Architecture : i686 Build Date : Thu 19 Feb 2009 12:07:06 AM PST Install Date : Thu 19 Feb 2009 06:54:54 AM PST Install Reason : Explicitly installed Install Script : No Description : Famous multimedia player, dev. version, without its GUI and support for nvidia VDPAU Mine was working just fine this morning. Make any changes to your mplayer config? Either in /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf or /home/mythtv/.mplayer/config? Are you using digital or analog audio? What's the output of Code: aplay -L and Code: aplay -l
What is the ao= option you're using with mplayer? Remember that command line mplayer options override your config files (And mythtv calls mplayer with the command line). |
