| Post subject: | MythWeb Thumbnails Black |
Moved and had to go to DISH. Got IR control working, but now the thumbs in MythWeb are from the moment the tuner is changing – thumbs show black screen (well, tuner border is there…). So, is there an easy place I can change the timing for when the thumbnail is taken, or some other simple solution? Thanks, TR6C |

Mine almost always shows the Thumbnails properly in MythWeb or in the Media Library. I think either one of those is where you are referencing your issue. At any rate I believe you are looking for this setting. Utilities/Setup > Setup > TV Setting > Playback > View Recordings (Screen 4 of 9) there is a setting midpage "Time offset for thumbnail preview images" Mine is set to 64 which was the default. You might try that one. HTH. Oh and I am on R5.5 standard auto install. |

Thanks, but that was maybe a partial solution... I'm using video clips in Media Library - that works fine. But the thumbs in MythWeb only show a blank screen, probably the first frame in the video clip for the Media Library? Changing to single thumbs in Media Library at the time spec'd might fix the mythweb thumb too, but i'm not willing to give up video clip thumbs in the Media Library.... If anyone know how to change the the thumb in MythWeb w/o giving up video clips in Media Library, let me know. Thanks, TR6C |

maybe some of your hardware setup would help. I notice occasionally I have a black thumbnail in mythweb but it is rare. Most always the thumbnail it seems is from about 64s in my case into the capture. I haven't verified that exactly but could look if you gave me more details. I think the setting I referred you to is the point it takes the thumbnail I know in the Media Library I get a miniature playback image of the show. I have watched it cycle and I never see it repeat unless I bump a screen key. |
