Anyone knows how to add HD channels/support with the HVR-1600? I figured out how to get the 1600 working in SD but HD eludes me so far.

I am building a new media server with R6 on

Foxconn G31AX-K ATX
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale
Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2 6400 Dual Channel

FYI if others want to try ..
alt + x into a terminal
su into root
go to a dir you can dump things into
download and extract http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb/archive/tip.tar.bz2
cd into the v4l dir
pacman -Syu
(I get an error message here.. scriplet failed to execute properly)
pacman -Sf make
make menuconfig
make
make install
make unload
modprobe cx18
download and extract
http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/ivtv/firmware/ ... are.tar.gz
move the fw files in to /lib/firmware
reboot
alt + S
add card
make a note of the video device (mine was /dev/v4l/video0)
goto the ivtv section and type in what you saw in the first video device
save
add your video source and input connection
reboot
now you should have a working HVR-1600 in SD
no remote or HD as far as I can tell so far

Did you try setting the card up as a DVB device in mythtv-setup to get the high def side working?

That seems to be the problem. I can run the scan but the screen locks before it is done. When it does that I have to alt tab into the main screen and power off to reset it.

Well I am still playing with it and I am going to try the DVB all by itself next.
