Hi All,

Just a quick question to confirm if I will have a problem in the medium term.

Below is a dummary of my disk usage. The /myth usage I can keep under control by deleting recordings, but the / usage is a little more "system".
Code:
Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1              5044188   3818864    969088  80% /
none                    906300         0    906300   0% /dev/shm
/dev/sda3            714244640 393469500 284493544  59% /myth

I have had a look, and the following directories are contributing the largest volume to the / usage

/usr = 1.7Gb
/data = 1.4Gb
/lib = 90Mb

I know that the pacman cache is taking up most of the space in the /data directory.

My question is twofold
1) As my LinHES is a standard install (recently upgraded to svn using pacman), should the / filesystem have more space by default to deal with things such as cache pacman packages?
2) What is the best method to increase the size of the / filesystem?

Cheers,

Nathan

I used Gparted when my 5gb partition ran out of space and increased my partition to 10gb which is a lot better for nfs diskless images. The program works really well, just be sure to run the test before you do the real thing...

I got the idea from this post from mattbatt

Hope this helps
