I was unable to do a normal -Syu update because of what appeared to be some unimportant png files that I (perhaps wrongly) assumed were custom tv channel icons.
So I did a force update.
Everything still works except the buttons associated with videos. Using the Linhes menu, pressing either 'watch videos' or video manager' generate no response. So I cannot watch any videos because I cannot get to them.
Is there any way of fixing this without a complete re-install? If not, are there any crucial settings that should be saved e.g. remote control?
Update
Using the R6 6.01 iso I chose to do an upgrade. Worked a treat. Now everything is back to normal except remote control which was soon fixed as I made a backup of my lirc files first.
Very pleased at how easy it was to fix my problem with the R6 iso.
