This week my cable company (Cablevision of LI) is scheduled to add new channels and move some others around. What effect will this have on my Myth setup? Will the changes apply to the program guide automatically or will some reconfiguring be necessary?

Check the zap2it website. If the guide is accurate (may take a few days) then run mythtv-setup and answer yes to the second question and reconfigure. If the guide isn't accurate, you can drop them a line.

When Zap2It gets the changed lineup from Cablevision, the lineup you download will be changed accordingly. You may need to log in to your account via a web server to select or deselect channels. (I'm pretty sure)

Don't hold your breath on the changes being fast, by the way... Comcast changed our lineup 12/15/04 and they haven't even updated their own webpage for our area, let alone given the info to Zap2it. (this I'm sure of)

odd comcast changed the lineup in my area a while back, and zap2it had the updates the same day, but I did have to log into zap2it update my lineup and run mythtv-setup delete the channels/video source and readd it before the guide updated.
