You're not providing many details.... Perhaps a search of the forum?

Well im using the wintv Go FM with the bttv module. My sound card is the Sound blaster live using emu10k1 . The audio out on the tv card is plugged into my Line in on the sound blaster. Using Alsamixer the only thing that even effects the Volume is the Line in and Master.

Does KnoppixMythtv use Oss or alsa? I found this at mythtv. Wouldnt it have to be alsa becuase alsamixer :P

However, some people report problems (sync and jitter) with OSS, and in addition it does not support full duplex on some cards. Full duplex is required if you want to record and play sound using just one sound card. ALSA has good full duplex support, and also has drivers for some built-in (motherboard) sound cards that OSS does not.

ok this has been covered, but it's short, so mute linein and make sure it's set as capture (space bar in alsamixer) and the sblive does support full duplex so you're good I used one for a long time with a bttv card worked fine.

Worked perfectly with my setup... I was experiencing the exact same problem but muting the playback of line-in solved it.

WinTV-Go and a Creative Live! card
