I've got a 0.17 backend that I'd like to use Knoppmyth as a front end for. I've had reasonabe success running the frontend from the CD (no install), but I'd like to pre-configure (or save a configuration) so that my wife won't have to fiddle with it each time. I want to be able to pre-specify the timezone, the backend conenction parameters, and the DHCP broadcast option. If that was done, all she'd have to do to watch things is pop in the CD, reboot, and hit enter at the boot screen. Any way to do that? Thanks! |

I dont think that you can do that at the moment, but perhaps in future the CD could attempt to mount a memory stick with those configuration details on it, and if it was able to mount the stick and find the configuration file, it could just continue using those options. Just a thought. |
