Hi All,

Can someone help a newbie as to how I setup my configuration to output to both a TV and a computer monitor.

I have everything working fairly well but it has been a pain to edit any files with the poor resolution of the TV screen.

I believe that I have to edit the XF86Config file but I have edited so much I do not know where to begin.

TIA

Do a search for Twinview this will lead you in the right direction.

If you have a nVidia based Vid card, look at the doco on the nVidia website as it tells you a bit about it as well.

If all you are using the monitor for is to edit files, if you have the availability of another computer you can simply SSH into you KnoppMyth box to do any edits you need.

Thanks Girkers I will get it a shot.

Yes, all I want to do is to be able to edit the files. SSH sounds like a better alternative. I just purchase an O'reilly on SSH. I will dig deeper into that.

Is it possible to SSH from a Windows machine into my Mythbox?

Yes and this is exactly what I do with my laptop. The best program I have found and some people may disagree, is putty. Easy to set up and use.
