Hi,

I have done a clean install of r5a12 and I'm in the process of getting the system into my living room where its not really convenient for my to run cable. So I got a Dlink DWL-G520. I put it in the first slot of my Chaintech 7NIF2 . in the bios I disabled the onboard ethernet. When knopmyth started up it looks like the ath0 was setup. I can't seem to find any directions on what to do next. from what I can tell, the madwifi portion of the installation is fine and the drivers are installed. Please advise.

netcardconfig didn't work (complained about not having any supported interfaces).

I ended up using the steps from ... http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... ht=madwifi

(including the addition of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ath0 despite the advice to the contrary)

I have gotten the connection to work but it is intermittant on reboot... sometimes it just doesn't connect.

well I can't see how /etc/sysconfig/anything will hurt anything just don't expect a debian based distribution to do anything with any script or file in that directory.
