 Post subject: r5a12 Volume Modulation?

Hi i am using the onboard sound on my chaintech 7NIF2. I am unable to control the level of the volume with the mythbox volume controls although mute seems to work fine. I can adjust the volume percentage but the level doesn't seem to change. I am using the default mixer. How can I adjust the volume through mythtv?

From the main menu: utilities/setup -> setup -> general -> 3rd screen

Under R5A12 I've got "Audio output device" set to "/dev/dsp", "Enable AC3 to SPDIF passthrough" unchecked, "Use internal volume controls" checked, Mixer device set to "/dev/mixer" and Mixer controls set to "PCM".

YMMV - And possibly a lot. However this is the first place to go to fiddle with the settings...
