Have a working R4V5 install. GA-81PE1000 Pro MOBO.Every thing works except Surrond sound for DVD playback. 2 channel works. I've searched the forums and tried adding the -channels 6 option for mplayer. No center or rear channels. Have updated alsa-base. Alsamixer reports Intel ICH5 card. Avance Logic id 80 chipset. alsaconf reports an INtel 82801EB/ER AC'97 Audio Controller. Have run alsamixer and made sure line and mic and surround are enabled for playback and not muted. The PCM control in alsamixer does control the 2 channel volumes. Center and rear just don't play. Have run out of ideas. Suggestions welcome. Thanks |
