Post subject:  R5A15 MythBurn Installation?

Hi I'm seeing some conflicting information about how to install MythBurn between the forums and the Wiki. No doubt this is due to updates in Knoppmyth and MythBurn... can someone point me to a good set of instructions to install Mythburn on R5A15?

Just to clarify, I meant the MythTVBurn Scripts.

Ok, I followed the R5A12 thread instructions as well as the HowTo. I have the software operational but as it goes to grab the frames for the buttons, i get the above error, which has been discussed in the R5A12 thread. I tried the suggested solutions there (even commenting out the line so it uses the default blank ones) and even tried burning different recordings but with no difference. I'm at a loss on how to proceed. Would it be possible to get a tarball of scripts from someone that has had success?

Jim

Are you getting tens of thousands of sound discontinuity warnings? If so, that's probably what's causing the chapter problem. You may want to take a look at the suggestion I posted to the Wiki:

Yes, I am getting some of them (never checked the total number, just saw them in the tail of the log with the failure)

being warnings, I didn't pay attention to them. I'll recheck the Wiki later tonight

Same here. I only mentioned the sound warnings as an aside when I posted to the dvdauthor mailing list asking about the "missing" chapters. Sombody kindly suggested I needed to fix the sound problem fist. [I think dvdauthor is moderately broken if it's discarding chapter points without telling the user about it.]

Aside from the change to the replex command line I suggested in the Wiki, it might be worth trying the other remultiplex option also

Post subject:  Still failing and I'm still seeing warnings

Here's what I'm seeing in the log window as it's processing:

WARN: Previous sector: 996.876 - 996.900
WARN: Current sector: 996.924 - 996.972
WARN: Audio pts for channel 8 moves backwards; please remultiplex input.
WARN: Previous sector: 996.924 - 996.972
WARN: Current sector: 996.948 - 996.996
WARN: Discontinuity in audio channel 8; please remultiplex input.
WARN: Previous sector: 999.948 - 999.972
WARN: Current sector: 999.996 - 1000.044
WARN: Audio pts for channel 8 moves backwards; please remultiplex input.

Then it finally fails with:

ERR: Cannot jump to chapter 2 of title 3, only 1 exist
ERR: in VTSM pgc 3, button scene_3_2
Return value is 1

MythTV BurnDVD stopped due to error

Granted I was ambitious and tried to put 4 30 minute shows onto the DVD...

Post subject:  Finally a solution!

I've discovered that the replex in CVS with the mythburn scripts is out of date. It includes replex-0.1.3. Upgrading to replex-0.1.4 cures the dvdauthor problems :D

Post subject:  another solution

Martin Bene has made some significant improvements to MythBurn lately and I've had success with his latest update which was posted to the Myth-users list over the weekend (actually the last couple of releases have worked)
