Does this affect everyone or is it something specific to Nvidia cards?

| Post subject: | How do I play ripped videos? |
I ripped a couple of DVD, one transcoded, the other just a VOB. I can see them in my Videos folder, but when I select them and press enter at the movie description screen I see "loading" for a brief instant and then it returns to the description screen. Running xine <filename> from the command line seems to work, as does mplayer<filename>. Thoughts? |

if you have an nvidia .. did you install the nvidia drivers? -vo xv is the defualt opition on knoppmyth. You can also play with the commandline Mythvideo runs under setup. |

Try this: Check your mplayer path in "Utilities / Setup\Setup\Media Setting\Video Settings\Player Settings" and make sure it's /usr/bin/mplayer and NOT /usr/local/bin/mplayer. -Moat |

Should affect everyone that uses KnoppMyth, since it's a PATH thing. |
