My box seemed to ramdomly crash but I eventually tracked it down to when mythcomflag start flaging any recordings recorded with my ATI TV Wonder VE. It is set to record in mpeg4. I'm using R5V16 and I've tried upgrading ffmpeg and the and mythtv to the stable branch of cvs but I'm still having the same problem. I haven't tried updating xvid, simply because t i'm not sure what codec the mpeg4 setting used to record. any Idea's would be appreciated.

MythTV uses an internal version of ffmpeg. There is no need to recompile ffmpeg seperately or xvid. Details on your hardware maybe help...
