Ok, I have a nice setup at home with Dish network, basicly the DVR has a coax-out that I run to another TV in the house, and that TV gets to use the DVR functions, and everything else.

Well, I hate dishnetwork, miss my cable modem, etc... I'm going back to cable, and putting in a MythTV box. Is there any way to get MTV to work with a second TV. I'd rather have it output coax as opposed to R-L-V because 1, it's an old TV that only has coax and 2. Then I won't have to run 3 RCA cables through the house, the coax is already there.

Thanks.

Remember when set top dvd players came out? Radioshack sold tons of channel 3 modulators the day after xmas. rf is the lowest quality of all, but I use it for putting Directivo in the house cable system for casual watching and listening through the house. Plug l/r and video (yellow) composite into it and it outputs to channel 3 or 4..30 bucks, but even a mechanically dead vcr will do the same thing with more effort. Oh, and the sound will be mono with the l/r mixed.

Even more fancy I used to get ota vhf for local stations and used an injector modulator to put the Directv ch3 into the house system to all tvs without radiating ch 3 through the antenna. In this case I should have used a UHF modulator for better signal quality without adjacent channel interference on cheap sets. Probably tons of ch3/4 modulators at yard sales and friends basements now, ask at work.
