i have my knoppmyth box set up, and everything is pretty much working. i'm running my digital cable box into it. however, when i change channels on the cable box, there's like a 15-30 second delay for it to actually change on the TV. i understand WHY this is happenning, but how can i reduce/eliminate that delay???

1. some tuners need quite some time to tune to a channel, check this with another TV application (xawtv etc.). Myth won't switch any faster ;(
2. before getting any picture on screen via mythtv, the stream is cached in the live buffer (right?). maybe your disk is too slow/busy. (check DMA settings) You may try moving the live buffer to a dedicated disk or something.
3. rumors tell filesystem for live-cache matters...
