Have a R5A16 installation running fine except for one thing.
I do not use the automatic commercial flagging feature. I have it off in setup.
I manually cut the commercials in the edit mode.
However, I notice that when a new recording is made cpu time is spent on a queue job that "thinks" it is marking commercials. If I go look at the cutlist after this useless activity there are no commercials flagged.
Even thought the message shown in the MythWeb job queue display says "Finished : <some number> breaks found".

Why is useless processing going on when the feature is turned off in setup?

Have not found anything similar in the forums so far.

Looks like commercial flagging is still checked when an individual recording record is selected. How can I set the default behavior to not have comm flagging checked on the recording. Turning it off in setup does not seem to work. I have to uncheck the box for every program I select for recording.

Thanks

Auto-flagging is often hit or miss, which is why skipping the detected commericals isn't the default. However it can profitably be used as a basis for manual marking.
When you go into manual edit mode try hitting the "z" key...
