Hello all and just let me thank whoever made all of this possible and this easy so far!!! You people are GREAT! I am using a PVR-350 with R5A16 Anyways, here is my questions: I have two sat boxes. With two different providers. I would to use them both. However, they have the same channel numbers on different stations on both sat systems so they conflict eachother. Is there anyone that can think of a way to get this to work right? If I name and label the channels differently then the Data-Direct stuff will not be correct. Can you in Myth set a pointer to the new channel number that data-direct thinks should be there according to the specified video source? One source would be at s-video and the other say composite. anyone with some ideas would be GREAT, again thank you for all your help!! |

well it would be a big pain to mess with, but all datadirect really cares about to pull the listings is xmlid I believe, so as long as the xmlid is correct in the database I think it will still put the info. I'm not 100% on that, so you may want to just try one and see. |

The XMLID is all that matters. My setup is such that I have the channel numbers set different than what my datadirect guide info is. But my xmlid's match up and I get my guide data correct (though I don't get mine from two different lineups like you would). So you can call the channel numbers whatever you want, just have the correct xmlids. You might try it with a few channels rather than setting up all 300, to verify this. |

if you have already pulled your guide from zap2it you will already have the xmlid's, other than that I have no idea where you would get them. |

If you go to zap2it.com and put in your zip code, then select your listing, you'll get guide data. When you click on a station (or just hover over it) the URL will have the xmlid in it. Just hover over several different stations and you'll see the digits that change on the URL. |

ok so I got it setup and the system doesnt change channels. Its a R5A16 system that works great otherwise. I setup a second video source with all the scripts to change the channel the same way as the first video source. I assigned all the channels to the video source so the guide data will still work correctly. As far as I can tell everything is the same for both inputs. I even ran a RCA to the capture card for the second video input. The first runs through the S-Video in. The only thing that doesnt work is the channel changing for the second input. The first input changes fine with the reciever. Please help!! |
