What's the simplest way to view how much hard drive space you've used?

oh let's make it a little easier on him.

df -h

-h is human readable, unless you want to figure out how much space all those 1024k blocks add up to.

The simplest way would be to look at "System Status" in the TV or information menus. Only works on recent MythTVs though, and only tells you the space on the TV recording partitions.

In earlier versions go to the manage recordings - delete recordings menu, and you will see a bar across the bottom of used/free space for the partition that /myth/tv resides on.

You can also see similar information if you have MythWeb up and running. At the bottom of the 'Recorded Programs' page is a space usage report. And on the 'Backend Status' page is a 'Machine Status' page with this same information.
