hello,

i use a nvidia graphic card (i think it's gforce4 mx) with tv out. so i installed knoppmyth and the first thing i saw on my tv out was snow :-(
so i tuned soimethin here and there in the /XF86Config file to use PAL and so on (cause i am from germany).
but now everything is black on tv screen. my monitor works.

cause i also own a full featured DVB card, i thought if it would be possible to use the tv out from this card. is it possible ?

can some one please help me bringing mythtv to my tv ? :-)

thanks

the-FoX

well as for the nvidia tvout did you install the nvidia drivers?

and as for the dvb card knoppmyth doen't really have that much support for them yet, but some are supported with myth, so you would have to find out how to get them to work from other places. This will probably be maturing fairly quickly, but for now everything is so new it's just not an easy task.

If yours is anything like mine, I have to actually boot with the TV connected and the monitor disconnected for it to switch into TV Out mode.

Do yo have the "ConnectedMonitor" "TVOut" line in your XF86Config-4 file?

well the problem if I understand it correctly is that some sorts of acceleration can only be used on one output(monitor/tv) at a time. If you want to see the menu system on both but view the video on the tv then you have to make some changes to your XF86Config-4 file which are covered in a couple of posts on this board. Just search for twinview.
