Post subject:  Importing shows from one Mythbackend to another

All.

If anyone can help with this I would be very grateful.

I have installed Knoppmyth R5a30.1 at my home in the US and my Father is about to install the same at his house in the UK.

My plan is that he will be recording all the shows in the UK that I miss and I will grab the files from his backend and import them (somehow?) into my backend to watch in the US.

Can anyone give me any hints about how to do this. My experience with MySQL is minimal and I would imagine there is a fair bit of table updating and editing to be done.

Also, will there be any issues with the PAL recording and NTSC playback? My initial thought is no.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dan...(In the US very much missing UK TV)

Care to explane why you think it wont be a problem? If you are using a nvidia card to out put the video being playing by mplayer it will work. But it wont look the best. You will probaly notice lots of tearing and maybe a significantly blurry picture from the video being resized. If you wanted to use a pvr-350 for output you are screwed. Sound shouldn't be a problem. Of corse you could watch your PAL signals on a computer monitor no problem.
