If I run mythmusic on my main HTPC (running a frontend and the backend) and point it at my mp3 filled directory it scans the directory but then no tracks are availble in 'Select' and I get errors like:

Code:
DB Error (playlist insert):
Query was:
SELECT playlistid FROM musicplaylist WHERE name = 'backup_playlist_storage' AND hostname = 'htpc' ;
Driver error was [2/1146]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to execute query
Database error was:
Table 'mythconverg.musicplaylist' doesn't exist

playlist.o: Not sure how I got 0 as a track number, but it ain't good

When I look at mysql there are no music tables in the mythconverg DB.

Strangely if I mount the drive with NFS and run mythfrontend on another machine (with mythmusic installed) pointing to the same backend this will scan the tracks and load them fine...

Any clues would be much appreciated.

Alex

You should have musicplaylist and musicmetadata.
IF you are running 0.18.
Maybe one of your databases is at 0.19? This would be the case if you're running SVN, or KnoppMyth 5AR22, which has the 0.19 database schema.

Hi,

The knoppix machine is 5A30.2 and the frontend machine is myth 18.1 on ubuntu - however I downgraded the client machine from an SVN version ~19-3. It looks like my client machine was pointing to the old DB I was using which does have those tables (I'm surprised it worked pointing to the wrong DB though!!)

I'm going to copy them across and see if that fixes it - is this a bug with the release and if so does knoppmyth have a bug tracking system?

Thanks for the help thornsoft!

Alex
