I have installed a small nuber of distros on my windoze xp pro box [damn it is hard to shake loose the old monopolistic demon that is redmond/india's ubiqitous shoved down the worlds throat sucks and is bloated, inefficient, and a constant enforcer of very unnecessary and expensive upgrades] [catch breath]. to the point, I have installed Knoppmyth on a 40GB western digital drive circa 1998 - 2000. I know it should be faster and bigger but I cant afford more hardware, cashflow is tappedout after getting hauppauge pvr-150/W ir blaster. I dont know how to use the command line interface for GRUB. I love GRUB's functionality and quick action of controlling a dual boot system, but when it reverts to text interface im lost. Please a little help. Ive been learning all that I can absorb from the net about the distros that I have chosen to dive into, I just ain't no good with brewing up directory paths and app paths in my head. On a scale from simp to ubergeek im probably a powergeek: not an ubergeek like so many I have discoverd online. Thanks for anyhelp. javascript:emoticon('')

Hi delta138,

Pardon me for being a little slow on the uptake here. I think you want to do a dual boot with the "other $ os" and also add KnoppMyth to the same drive?

If this is indead what you are after, it is not difficult but does take a "few" command lines to tweak it all and make everything happy.

Mike
