I was just curious about how folks had their disks set up. I currently have knoppmyth on a 200 GB disk and my music and pics on another 80 GB disk. Recently, I got another 200 with the idea of using lvm. During my migration, I noticed that the existing /myth partition does not have enough inodes to hold my music. Is the inode count on this partition low to keep the speed up? Should I keep the music/pics on a separate partition with a higher inode count and the video on a low inode partition?

Thanks,

If you do an auto install, then KnoppMyth setup /myth for large files. Some folks run into this problem when they have a great deal of files, ROMs, MP3, etc. I myself have a lot of small files on /myth on my SBE but I have no issues w/ inodes. You must have a ton of stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up keeping a separate logical volume for the music/pic data (with a higher inode count).
