I've been messing with this with no luck. Port 8002 opens, but 8001 is closed --- in fact, according to the VLC HTTP interface on port 8002, it can't play the media file? Any tips? |

StreamTV does not leave any log entries that denote a problem. However VLC messages give me this : main debug: creating new input thread main debug: waiting for thread completion main debug: thread 3984 (input) created at priority 1 (input/input.c:261) main debug: `http://192.168.2.10:8001' gives access `http' demux `' path `192.168.2.10:8001' main debug: creating demux: access='http' demux='' path='192.168.2.10:8001' main debug: looking for access_demux module: 0 candidates main warning: no access_demux module matched "http" main debug: creating access 'http' path='192.168.2.10:8001' main debug: looking for access2 module: 7 candidates access_http debug: http: server='192.168.2.10' port=8001 file='(null) main debug: net: connecting to 192.168.2.10 port 8001 main debug: connection in progress access_http debug: protocol 'HTTP' answer code 200 access_http debug: Content-Type: application/octet-stream access_http debug: Server: Cougar 4.1.0.3921 access_http debug: Pragma: no-cache access_http debug: Pragma: client-id=27293 access_http debug: Pragma: features="broadcast" main debug: using access2 module "access_http" main debug: pre-buffering... main debug: received first data for our buffer main debug: creating demux: access='http' demux='' path='192.168.2.10:8001' main debug: looking for demux2 module: 44 candidates ts warning: TS module discarded (lost sync) ffmpeg debug: couldn't guess format ps warning: this does not look like an MPEG PS stream, continuing anyway main debug: using demux2 module "ps" main debug: looking for a subtitle file in D:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\ main debug: `http://192.168.2.10:8001' successfully opened main debug: selecting program id=0 main debug: looking for decoder module: 27 candidates main debug: using decoder module "mpeg_audio" main debug: thread 3940 (decoder) created at priority 2 (input/decoder.c:159) main debug: EOF reached main debug: closing input main debug: removing module "mpeg_audio" main debug: thread times: real 0m0.100144s, kernel 0m0.000000s, user 0m0.000000s main debug: thread 3940 joined (input/decoder.c:191) main debug: killing decoder fourcc `mpga', 0 PES in FIFO main debug: Program doesn't contain anymore ES main debug: removing module "ps" main debug: removing module "access_http" main debug: thread times: real 0m0.340489s, kernel 0m0.020028s, user 0m0.000000s main debug: thread 3984 joined (input/input.c:399) main: nothing to play So it looks like VLC is connecting. Just can't make head or tail out of what StreamTV is sending. Any suggestions? |

What exactly are you trying to stream? What is the source/capture card and settings you are using? I do not have any problems streaming captured video from my PVR250. |

Post subject: | Changing VLC settings for streamtv? |
Ok, Got it to work. But I need to change the video contrast settings. When I try to go into the Administration link on the stream control page (via port 8002) it asks for a user/password. users mythtv and root don't work. How can I change vlc settings? Thanks |
