Note: About 6 minutes of blank screen at end of video.

edit: Looks like miker beat me to the punch on my post.

The thing I couldn't get over is the DVD playing in the background of the interface, NOT properly playing back in 16:9. That was the icing on the cake.

I'm all for MythTV, but hearing the condescending tone of the guy in the video was agonizing. This will turn more people away then help I think. Plus, KnoppMyth in a standard installation looks 10x better than that in my opinion. Here's the media browser - Link. Not very attractive at all...

The 3D interface is very sexy. Being v1.0 I am sure there are some technical glitches that will be uncovered as more people install it, but this project is certainly something to watch with interest.

Reading the history page, it seems geared more towards a home security system and less of a MythTV system. Although, the trick with turning the TV on and turning down the lights automatically when watching a video was slick.

Hi,

The Plutohome has been around for a while and is rather interesting but the video was, I thought anyway, impressive. I can't fault the narrator for a little "swallowed the canary" infliction in his presentation either. However to achieve that level is not as simple as building a KnoppMyth system. Even building a R5V4 system was easier but then again, I'm not the brightest lamp on the tree so ymmv.

Maybe some talented folks will glean ideas for added KM features.. tv power control, that was cool :)

My 2 pennies for the day.
Mike
