Post subject:  Comcast Throttling Bittorrent

Evidence is mounting that Comcast is sabotaging user's trying to seed with BitTorrent. A simple web search turns up bunches of hits.

I started seeing this back with the release of R5F27. I posted in this thread that I was not getting many peer connections when I was trying to seed the KM iso. My post is on the top of page 2, About 3 posts after that Human (the tracker owner) posted something about just how popular that torrent was.

Now, I can see them wanting to squash pirate torrents, but BT is pretty much the preferred method for distributing most linux distros. There's nothing even remotely questionable about the KM iso.
<paranoid>Nothing except for the fact that it competes with their DVR offering.</paranoid> Hmmm.

What really surprises me is that for the first time in my life, I'm rooting for the FCC to do something.

Get used to rooting for the FCC, not that it will do any good. If you haven't yet, I recommend you join EFF (http://www.eff.org) and send them a donation. They seem to be the only ones fighting for our "fair use" rights.
