Summary: Vista Windows Media Center users found that some NBC shows got flagged as "not recordable."

I should try it on my wife's computer (which came with a ATSC tuner and Vista/Media Center... it was a good Black Friday deal, what could I do?).

That is only one of the many problems with MCE. My favorite is why you can't get listings for secondary streams in HD. You can tell it to tune 14-1 through 14-6 in my area but you can't tell MCE what listings to use even though MS uses Zap2it. All worked nicely for me in KM. Funnier still is that channel 14 never broadcasts full HD in channel 14-1. They use 14-6 for that.

I only paid $13 for Vista ultimate from the university where I work. I still overpaid.

John C Dvorak made a comment that he thought it was "an intentional trial run" to see if it would work (in the possible future). I totally agree with him, in that it was no accident.
