So tonight I decided to clean up commercial flagging and the cut lists on my recordings of The Simpsons and send them off to transcode for a little MPEG2 -> MPEG2 lossless commercial cutting action. I have all of this previous season's (season #19) episodes. Or should I say had all of them. On episode #5 (11/04/2007, "Treehouse of Horror XVIII") I finished with the cut list and exited. Without thinking I went into auto pilot mode and selected "delete" and "Yes, delete it." Arrrrrrggggghhh! So much for a complete season of pristine mpg's.

Ouch

Just goes to show you how useful those "are you really sure"
prompts are. I think they are more for the program writer's
peace of mind and safety than for the user's.
