Anyone know of a way to recover a corrupt jpg / jpeg file under linux? I got a nice pic of my daughter that got corrupted and I'd like to try to save it. The thumb nail is fine, but when I open the picture in GIMP, the picture loads, but about 40% is dark and GIMP spews an error:

Quote:
Corrupt JPEG data: 1826 extraneous bytes before marker 0xd9

My google-fu does not seem to help me with an answer. If anyone can help, let me know.

Can you post the file somewhere?
