Any linux install disk will do, and taking into the account the group of people you have asked... knoppmyth will optimise all your windows issues away. |

Carefully backing up all the data that is important and then formatting and reinstalling Windows. There is a LOT of work there and it should probably not even be attempted by a non-geek. The second part to thiis is to learn not to install everything you run across. Keep your machine lean and clean and stop the programs that you actually need from loading the world at startup. |
