Post subject:  Fry's exec shakes down vendors for millions
I always wondered why Fry's has so darned many ECS motherboards for sale. It's the low cost brand -- lower than low, actually -- but the design and manufacturing quality always seemed behind the other brands.

Almost half the motherboards for sale at Fry's were ECS brands -- in spite of the fact that there were always stacks and stacks of returned boards. It seems almost nobody could get one to work.

Today it was revealed that a certain Fry's executive was taking kickbacks from vendors to stock their products at Fry's. One of the main ones was -- drum roll -- EliteGroup, makers of ECS motherboards. Now it all makes sense!

The ECS boards I've purchased in the past have been 50/50 got me. That is why I decided a long time ago never to buy them again. This certainly does explain a lot...
