OK -- its been a while -- seems like it's time for another gathering. We had fun last time - is anyone game for another "get together"? I'll be doing a lot of business-related travel in October so the next two weekends (Sept 27 and Oct 4) are best for me. Let me know!

I'm in Sac on the weekend of the 27th but should be around town on the weekend of the 4th.

The 4th works for me.

Brian -- does that work for you?

Right now it looks like the gathering will be 2-3 people -- Joe, Jake and myself. Anyone else interested?

I'd be interested in this. I live in Mountain View and this is too close by to pass up. I have been lurking on/learning from this forum for a couple years now, but I've never posted as I've always been able to find the info I need just by reading. (yes, THIS is my first post).
I'm in the process of recovering and reconfiging my machine, a standalone MBE/FE box, after a OS drive replacement and fresh R6 install. It's been a... challenge. Especially sound, which I FINALLY got mostly working last night. (Note, which should be posted somewhere more useful than here: The SPDIF out of an onboard nForce4 CK804 sound card works as Card 0, Device 0, *NOT* Card 0, Device 2 as reported by aplay -L)

Cheers!
-Gerry

Anything planned for October? The 17th or 24th?

Unfortunately, I will be on a business trip during that time frame, but I suspect that other folks on this thread would be more than happy to organize something. I'm sorry we won't connect.

OK -- who's up for brunch / lunch tomorrow, Sunday, Oct 4th? There is a very casual but good Indian place at 448 University ave in Palo Alto call Hyderbad House.

I suggest we meet at noon, followed by coffee at Peet's just down the road.

Also, I haven't seen any other responses to Cecil's message. I will be out of the area for a few weeks but it looks like Cecil will be in the area on the 17th or 24th -- anyone interested in organizing a get-together with him?

I'm up for something. Indian, huh? I love a good tandori chicken and a cup 'o chai once in awhile. What time?

cesman -- I'll be away the weekend of Oct. 24th, but I'm available any other weekend in October. Bring it on!

If there is something planned later in December, perhaps I'll drive up...

OK -- let's plan another gathering. Which weekend date in December works best for folks? Sunday's work best for me, so I'll start with the proposal of meeting at noon on either Dec 6, 13 or 20.
