San Jose is a bit closer and a better choice, but if you can get a better fare into San Francisco its only a 10 minute difference.

Hey Marc --

Why don't we split Cecil? (figuratively, not literally!)

I could pick him up from SJC on Friday since I live only 10 min away, and have him stay over with me Friday nite. We can pal around Saturday and I'll bring him to our meetup (assuming it's on Saturday) and you can take Cecil home with you.

This way both of us get our "quality time" with C-man and he doesn't even need to rent a car. (Unless he really wants to...)

Hello Marc and Joe,

I would love to meet with Cecil as well. I have been using Knoppmyth for about two years and am really enjoying it. Do you guys have a time set for the meeting on Saturday?

Thanks,
Prashant

Is flying into Oakland an option? Seems the best deal and time have me flying in and out of Oakland.

You could go to Oakland if you're planning to rent a car, or you could take BART to the peninsula and change to CalTrain to get down to where Marc and I live. Oakland's about an hour and 15 min. from where I live, maybe a little less to Marc's address.

Is it really less to fly to OAK than to SJC? (San Jose in airport speak.)

For the days I've looking at yes, Oakland appears to be the best option. WIll look again today and try and book something.

Got a flight booked in and out of SJC. I'm flying in midday Friday and out late morning Sunday. Once I get my email confirmation, I'll forward it to you guys. See you in 13 days!

They usually advertise where and when they will meet ahead of time. It is set for that weekend. So, give it a little and I'm sure they will announce where.

Joe and I just talked. Here's the plan:

1. Joe will pick Cecil up at the airport on Friday. Cecil will be staying at Joe's place Friday evening.

2. Saturday at noon we'll meet a "Fiesta Del Mar too" in downtown Mountain View for Lunch (Mexican)

3. After lunch, we'll get coffee at Peet's.

4. After Peet's we'll hit Fry's.

5. Saturday at 6:30PM we'll meet for dinner at a restaurant in Santa Row, downtown San Jose. Santana Row is a great place to hang out if the weather is nice.

6. Cecil will stay at my place Saturday night and I will take him to the airport on Sunday.

Please let me know who will be joining us for Lunch and Dinner so I have a headcount.

Cecil, a few questions:

1. Does this agenda work for you? An alternative is a walking tour of San Francisco, as outlined in an earlier post. I'm good either way.

2. Is Mexican for lunch OK?

3. Dinner - what's your preference: Indian, Mediterranean or Asian Fusion?

I look forward to meeting you.

I do, but who else? I'm pretty sure Jake will be there.

Brian -- will you be able to make it?

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the update - I hadn't been following the post the last few days! I will definitely be there. I will join you guys for lunch but after that I need to be in Hayward at 2:30 so I will probably skip the trip to Fry's and leave at around 1:45. I would also like to join you guys for dinner, but I am not sure if I will be able to make it back in time. So I will have to play it by the ear as far as the dinner goes.

Thanks very much.
Prashant
