After $20 rebate and $10 off regular price. Sale is good till 8/26.

MediaMVP is a really cheap way to stream MPEG2 recordings (from PVR-250 and -350) to a remote TV. Wired works better than wireless although 802.11g should be OK.

It's not quite a MythTV front end but it's a lot cheaper, and it has correctly interlaced playback via its TV-out, just like the 350.

I have info and a HOWTO on the wiki:

That's cool these are really sweet devices for the price with lots of potential. I just wish someone could figure out how to squeeze a whole mythtv frontend on there.

Those projects aren't full-fledged front-ends: they require you share the /myth/tv folder via NFS, then you point it to that folder and it plays. Getting those programs running are the topic of the HOWTO I linked to.

The sticking point sounds like it's getting MySQL compiled for the PowerPC or some such thing.
