Post subject:  Snoop on my Blu-ray player

OK so here is the deal I have a networking question unrelated to Linux or MythTV in any way, I maybe thought you guys could point me in the right direction. I have a Sony BDP-S380 It is a Blu-ray player that streams Netflix very poorly. I can stream Netflix to my computer and to my phone with plenty of speed but at that same time the Blu-Ray player will say that I only have 0.5 mb/s streaming while my PC is getting 10 mb/s down. I think there is a problem with the server that my blu-ray player is contacting for the stream. I want to snoop on my traffic and see what and who the Sony is downloading Netflix from. This problem has persisted over two routers and the Second router's upgrade to OpenWRT. It is a wired connection and the router and the modem are 5 feet away.
What software do I need to use to snoop on my network?
It's not just because Netflix is busy a primetime. Some days I can stream 10 mb/s down at 6:00 pm and tonight It was giving me 1.3 at 11:00pm on a Sunday.
Thanks,
MattBatt

Dunno about OpenWRT, but tomatoUSB allows you to log incoming/outgoing traffic on an IP basis. What is the router you're using? If it's a Broadcom-based processor, odds are there is a Tomatousb image for it if you wanted to go that route (no pun intended).

thanks I didn't think of asking the router! (what a noob) It's a TP TL-814N FWIW.

Hmm... I think those are Atheros based processors, no? I don't think TomatoUSB supports them.
