I would like to burn some of my shows to a DVD (perferably multiple shows on one DVD), but my DVD burner is in my Windows XP box. Do any of you have a suggestion for getting my mythTV file from the /pretty directory onto a DVD using only windows software.

I would also like to cut out the commercials (which is why I don't want to use the ISO scripts). So if any of you have an idea on what video editing/authoring software I should use for this I would really apreciate it.

Thanks,
C

well if you need to edit comercials.. that makes it harder.. I use a cheap program called avi-dvd. that name is actualy a crappy name cause it only takes avi and converts it to dvd mpeg. then use ifoedit (its free) to make the dvd structure.. then use nero to burn the DVD. you can just use Ifoedit and nero if you dont transcode it to avi.

Thanks for the info gr8nash.

I actually downloaded neroVision of the ahead site and gave it a go. It does a reall nice job. The only thing I don't like is that it takes about 2 and half hours to author the dvd, but besides that I recomend it.

oops, I forgot to mention you have to "buy/get" a plugin to allow neroVision to do mpeg files.

What kind of TV tuner are you using on your MythTV box? If a PVR-250 or -350 it's already in MPEG2 format and all you have to do on Windows is chop out the commercials. I use TMPGEnc DVD Author (under $100) and it's very very good.
