I know it's been mentioned before, but I cobbled together a link that lets people search the KnoppMyth forum using Google instead of the built in searching engine. I guess there's a delay in the messages cached through Google, but the search engine is much more powerful than PHPBBS can manage on its own. See the sig below. Any tips for improvements? |

Just copy it from my sig and put it in yours. I don't use DRM and I couldn't care less about my personal copyright protection! Then all you have to do is find one of your own posts and the link is there! |

Hi Liv2Cod, I can usually re-locate the link when it gets "misplaced" which only happens when my profile gets messed at work or when I do an complete install of KnoppMyth (usually do upgrade)
I was thinking more for the new people when they come to the forum for the first few times trying to solve their own problems. Your tweaked search tool really helps a lot combined with the built in search, one can usually fine a clue. I forget what the number of posts is currently, but it is a few! And that's not counting yours either

I use 'site search' with firefox's googlebar works great site:mysettopbox.tv "site search" in a google search field |
