What case do you have atm? I would consider spending a bit less on the cpu and get a gorgeous looking case :)

I've got a coolermaster ATSC- I'd say it's 'OK' - planning on moving it into my office next to the LR, so looks aren't really a factor

Doesn't that ASUS board use the VIA chipset? Most of their model numbers with "V" in them do. I have heard of problems with VIA and lots 'o interrupts.

Regarding donations, I'm sure he'd like hardware if its something current, but I'm not sure that particualar m/b will quicken his pulse. Even a small gift of cash ($50 or so) makes a big impact when lots of people participate.

Its an nvidia chipset, the v stands for video in this instance ;)
