I posted this over at the anandtech hot deals forum:

Basically it may be a big price mistake. If your local Circuit City does not have it then you can have them place it on special order. But the price is $79 out the door with no rebates.

Link to the hard drive:
Western Digital 200gb SATA Drive

I know it's not in the same price league, but silence for a hard drive is key in a PVR, and the Seagate 7200.7 Baracudas are the quietest. I picked one up through pricewatch and paid $150 for a 200GB. The extra money was worth the extra silence for me.

They've corrected this error or upped the price again at this point. Their web site now shows $249.00. It's too bad since that was a sweet deal. Not having rebates with a big drive would've been nice.

Way to go big boy! I'd put that in my closet, or wear some earplugs. I hope you have some power supply to go with that!

Man, you had me so worried that my drives would be loud because I have a 20gb western digital drive that made an annoying high pitched whine. These SATA drives are quite. I am currently using an antec sonata case and the only thing I can hear is the 80mm fan -27db on the heatsink (which I had switched from a 60mm 6500rpm fan which sounded like a jet engine). I recently read that if the western digital drive you purchased is making a whine, something is wrong and you should return it for another.

Now if I can only get the drivers working for my Promise SATA controller I'll be all set LOL.
