Hello All,

I have been trying to get MythTV on a fedora core 2 up and running with a second instance of LIRC using ledxmit_serial and home brew remote.

The remote seems to work but the channel does not change. I think my problem is associated to LIRC.

Are there any other options to have MythTV change the cablebox than LIRC?

Here are the errors I get when I load ledxmit_serial in dmesg:

ledxmit_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 72
Badness in sleep_on_timeout at kernel/sched.c:3022
[<02308ff6>] sleep_on_timeout+0x5d/0x23a

[<0213c2af>] sys_init_module+0x207/0x2ef
ledxmit_serial: auto-detected active high receiver
ledxmit_dev: ledxmit_register_plugin:sample_rate: 0

Thanks

Babak

Why are you creating multiple threads for the same problem?

In this thread I wanted to know if there is a way to change channels on a cablebox without using LIRC. I did not want to confuse the two issues.
