Hi !

I have had some truble installing Linux on the mainboard RS480, this card is running an ATI chipset and have all you need to a HTPC... (S-video out, digital sound out and more)
I found a post on linuxquestions.org, say that the chipset is not supported before kernel ver. 2.6.12, and my question is what kernel ver. is knoppmyth useing ?

There is not many distro running kernel 2.6.12 or higher.. I know opensuse 10 does but I dont like the distro :P

Assuming you are installing R5A16, it's kernel is 2.6.11. The next release will be based on 2.6.13.
