Hi Guys

Chuffed to bits with my setup at the mo, I have just managed to get lirc going with KnoppMyth R5A16.....absolutley brillaint work Cesman & Dale....

I have searched and tried various solutions that were offered on here, the mythtv gossamer threads, and google, but no joy !!!

Just one little question....

Has anyone succeeded in using their remote to control mame ??? Apparently xmame has lirc support since 0.90, which is the version that comes as default with R5A16. But as I said before, any suggestions did not work...

Can anyone help ???

If it isn't working, you probably want to take a lookat XMAME mailing list...

Done lots more googling, and checking of the xmame mailing list, and have come up with this.

When you installed the xmame 0.90, did you compile it with lirc support ? I have tested from an XTerm with the -lircrc option, and it says lircrc is an unknown parameter, which would indicate that is has not been compiled as such.

apt-get, so it I didn't compile it.
