I like to use VLC for video playback in KnoppMyth. It is by far better than any other app. I've noticed that you've included v0.8.1 with KnoppMyth since R5A22. That version doesn't allow "DVD menu reading". 0.8.4 does, however. Is there a chance you could include a later version in the next release?
Since apt is a bit sketchy at the moment, I am unable to install the latest VLC (well, that's not entirely true. I am about to try to build from source, but I've never done anything like that in Linux before, so it will be a slow process (there's like 50 libraries and stuff) and I'm sure I'll manage to make every mistake possible, trust me).

Thank the MythTV folks for the PVR software. In terms of VLC, I intend on stick with the current version. Now, if you provide details on installing 0.8.4 and shows that it doesn't break anything then I'd consider the upgrade.
