Post subject: | Strange Blueish Tint using Knoppmyth R5b7 |
I'm back to Knoppmyth after dabling a bit with Mythdora, which is pretty nice but I couldn't get my Avermedia a180 HDTV card to work with it. It also wouldn't recognize my Pvr-150. I have a PVR-250 that worked fine. Anyway, when I install Knoppmyth everything seems to install OK but the entire screen has a odd blueish tint to it. Other than that everything seems normal. No flickering or strange lines just a strange blue tint. At first I thought something was wrong with my videocard but the color is normal using Mythdora and under windows. I've search quite a bit and haven't found anyone else having this issue. I also tried installing R5C7 but it kept killing my keyboard so I gave up. I'm pretty familiar with Linux but not an expert by any means. I have several questions: 1. What version of the Nvidia drivers does knoppmyth use 2. Is there any type of control panel for the Nvidia drivers to maybe tweek the colors? Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is pretty much unwatchable. Hardware: Epox EP-9NDA3J MSI 6200 128 MB AGP (using component out) 512 MB Mushkin ram Mitsubish Ws-55805 (Looking for HDTV modelines if anyone has them) 600 GB disk space |

What version of the Nvidia drivers does knoppmyth use Varies based on what hardware it detects. Old stuff uses 1.0-6629, more modern hardware uses 1.0-7174. This should work with a 6200 based card. The 8xxx stuff might be worth trying but there are other issues there. Search for threads with subjects like "new nvidia driver 8xxx". bevege wrote: 2. The program that you're looking for is nvidia-settings |
